I Want to be a Super Hero

It has took me ages to post this news but this is my first illustration book. I have illustrated children's book for the story by Neil Irani who is also a publisher of Smallfish Books.
It is a book about a boy who wants to be a super hero. Sam is thinking if he could fly and could move fast, he will go and help people quickly and help his family.  Available from amazon uk.

Yuzuriha - ゆずりは

I went home to Japan this October for a month and a half and had a great time.
And those photos are of my cousins beautifully made cups. She is working at a ceramic crockery studio/company called Yuzuriha. Their handmade cups are made and hand painted with flowers even inside. They are just so lovely and warm to look at. My cousin gave me those as a presents. I just wanted to share it with you.

Let's get on your bike!

I have done London cycling illustration.
Has anyone used the Barclays' rental bikes yet?
I have seen two people just getting out bikes from the bike racks at Liverpool street station. I wonder how comfortable the bikes are.

Anyway, riding bike in London can get you around town much quicker and greener.
And saves a lot of money as well.

Middsummer Art Fair in Teddington

I had a stand in Midsummer Art Fair at Landmark Art Centre in Teddington at the weekend of 19th to 20th June. It turned out as a success as it was the first time for me to have stand in any kind of art fairs.

I have sold 7 of my limited edition prints and 2 of original illustrations and many many postcards!

It was just nice to see the reaction of people visiting my stand. People showed siles at them, some just walked pass without stopping. But it was whole good experience and getting feedback and to find out which ones are people's favourites.

It was also nice to see some other artists works. I bought a book mark ( very cute!) from a contemporary sustainable jewellery designer, Charlotte Granville-West.
Here is the picture of it↓

Anyway, I had a good time! Thank you for all those who came to see my illustration and left some comments. Thank you!!! xxx

'Every Little Thing' Exhibition this month!

I am having a solo exhibition in Hackney, Clapton this month.
It will be held at Venetia's Coffee Shop
The exhibition will be on for a month from 21st April. Private view on Wednesday 21st April from 6-9pm. My original and prints are available for sale.
So please come along with your friends and family. It is a cafe so it would be nice if you just want to have coffee or tea in a different scenery.

I am excited about this, but I still have to do bits and pieces for this exhibition! A slight worry for the deadline! I still need to finish some work, print and frame etc....  I just hope that everything falls into places in the end. Fingers crossed!!

Book Shelf

I have moved recently and my boyfriend and I are hunting for some more new furniture.
And this book shelf is the one we found. Made with natural wood. It has such a character and nice feel to it. Though this was used as a display shelf in the shop so we had to strip off all the soft toys and cards from the shelf....
Anyway, it is part of our house now and making it a nice space for me to work on the projects coming up soon.

I don't know how people talk about Tapirs in Western culture, but we say they eat dreams. I can't remember whether they eat any dreams or eat away nightmares for you.
Sweet dreams everyone.
